❤️Your skin will love these. If you suffer from dry skin, The winter can be harsh. Here are some tips that you can easily fit into your daily regimen.
Moisturizing – As soon as you get out of the shower, While your skin has not completely dried off. If you use an oil based moisturizer or you should consider swapping it for a water-based!
Exfoliate – Make sure you are exfoliating your skin with a mild exfoliate. It will remove buildup from dead skin. Afterwords it will look and feel replenished. Note if you already have dry skin, Then exfoliate less.
Sunscreen – Wear it all year not just in the summer. Sun protection is for all skin tones. If you have darker skin tones, Use a sun screen that it oil based. That way it doesn’t look ashy.
Shorter showers – With not as hot water. It helps prevent dry skin. This is hard for some so use a moisturizing body soap.
Staying Hydrated– Drinking enough water.
Embrace Face Masks – Hydrating masks are a great way to provide moisture in the winter. We have made our you DIY face masks.
Here’s a new one to try. The egg white mask is easy and effective. This one is also recommended for tightening and toning the face. Leave it on 10-15 minutes.
One that is a favorite is the brown sugar face scrub. It is great for blackheads and dead skin. Here is a brand we have used and got nice results. This one also works for blackheads!
Scarves & Gloves – Protect your skin in the wind and snow.
Dry Skin Treatment– If you have areas that are naturally dry like elbows and knees, Use an overnight moisture cream. It works especially if you put it on your feet with some socks. Or hands with a glove. Vaseline works also.
